The Centaur의 디자이너 예란지
고풍스럽고 몽환적인 분위기를 풍기는 그녀의 옷은 시대를 뛰어 넘어 장식장에 걸린 하나의 오브제처럼 느껴진다. 단순히 옷을 디자인한다기 보다는 자신이 가진 이야기와 정서가 담아내는 디자이너 예란지. 엄마의 붉은 립스틱, 길게 땋은 댕기머리 – 한국에서 자라고 한국에서 옷을 만드는, 그래서인지 그녀의 옷에서는 동양적인 감성이 왠지모르게 툭툭 묻어난다.
“THE CENTAUR” implies Kentauros, “Is the combination of the wisdom of the human and stupidity of the beast. This creature can’t make love with neither humans nor animals” The live at the end of the human world. They’re in the middle between the human world and got world. They are lonely beings who don’t belong anywhere, but they are the only ones who can, above all, co-exist and the centaur can beautifully romp more than anyone between art and the general public.
